We are currently seeking a talented individual to become a Bogart's Chef D' Cuisine. An individual could be successful if they possess the following.
Your daily responsibilities include:
Responsible for day to day operation of assigned kitchen.
Assists the Executive Chef in menu planning and development.
Maintains food and labor percentiles.
Maintains consistent food quality.
Oversees cast members scheduling, training, evaluating, counseling and termination.
Exhibits a friendly, helpful and courteous manner when dealing with customers and fellow cast members.
Any and all duties as assigned by your Supervisor or a member of management.
Monitors and tracks waste daily
To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set:
Comprehensive knowledge of food products. Must be 18 years of age or older.
Graduate of Hotel and/or Culinary Arts School or equivalent. Four years cooking experience and two years food supervisory experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other cast members of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Good communication skills.
Food service card.
Excellent supervisory, motivational and organizational skills. Excellent oral and written communications skills.
While performing the duties of this Job, the cast member is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear and taste or smell. The cast member is frequently required to stand and walk. The cast member is occasionally required to sit. The cast member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this Job, the cast member is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
